Moving In The Right Direction, Thanks to all those before me who have submitted reviews of this laptop - my two cents as follows:

This laptop is definitely progress in the right direction, but not entirely.
First of all, I bought this baby for its combination of battery life, screen size and functionality - are your reasons and you will not be disappointed.
but not 12 hours, I regularly about 7 hours, give or take half an hour, depending on use.
I set the brightness to around 25%, and I use this laptop for internet and office work, especially Word and Excel.
7 hours for a screen this size is fantastic and I come from a Toshiba nb305 netbook, which lasted for 9 + hours.
Processor ULV processor Atom anemic child blowing this out of the water!
I am very impressed by the courage of the machine.

Great Notebook, But Not Perfect, From the reviews here, you might think that this computer is perfect (ie not an error). I got mine a couple of days ago and I can tell you that is closer to perfect as it is in a laptop. I was an early adopter netbook (EeePC 701, with a spacious 4GB of solid state hard drive!) And was left disappointed with the small screen (7 ") and the severe shortage of computing power. Needless to say that ASUS is UL30A a step in relation to performance and functionality, and one that manages to keep it low weight and small form factor.

Nice For The Price, Power, Silence And The Size, The screen is bright. Spot hand placed under the keyboard are shiny and oily quickly get their hands on them. mousepad is sick, but sensitive cuz its proximity to the space bar. top in beautiful brushed metal, as well as within, so that wouldnt be so fat and catch the dust. makes no noise at all, CPU is running a compute-intensive and .. Parallel could not breathe at times is difficult, and feel the hot air out the side, but I suppose that this ULV processor is the way to go … battery lasts only 5.5 hours in Windows with all my stuff installed and browse the Internet, in ways perhaps ASUS lasts longer if you surf the chat or listen to music on headphones. screen flashes when the plug HDMI sometimes its the other end … and the sound sometimes works, sometimes not. I found you just scroll through the display options with the Fn key and it'll work. Very light, once again, I wish it was all brushed metal cuz sometimes I feel like when I shook like a book in hand, and I noticed that there is a place where she began to rub in S 'Blur. and i wouldnt mind so small that it is a bit 'stronger, with a little more weight.
